For thousands of students, Front Porch is more than a coffeehouse. It's a place to find belonging, build friendships, share meals, ask hard questions, celebrate milestones, and know they aren't navigating college alone.

What is front porch?

Front Porch is a nonprofit coffeehouse and community space serving college students in San Luis Obispo.

Every week, hundreds of students gather here for free coffee, shared meals, study sessions, volunteer opportunities, live music, and meaningful connection.

We believe every person matters and deserves a place where they are welcomed, valued, and known.

WHY STUDENTS KEEP COMING BACK

College can be exciting, but it can also be lonely, overwhelming, and uncertain.

Front Porch exists to create the kind of place every student hopes to find: somewhere they can walk through the door and be greeted by name, find people who care about them, and discover a sense of community beyond the classroom.

For many students, Front Porch becomes part of the story they'll tell when they look back on their college years.
