Joel Drenckpohl is the Campus Pastor and Director of Front Porch Ministries. Joel was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He did his undergraduate work at Whitworth University where he received his degree in Speech Communications. It was there that Joel discovered and fostered his God-given passion for the Church and sharing that passion with others. It was also there that Joel met Kristi, the love of his life. They have been married for the past twelve years and have three lovely children: Audrey, Landon, and Jordan. After graduating from college, Joel spent a couple of years on staff at a church in the Seattle area before he and Kristi made the trek south to Southern California. Prior to moving to San Luis Obispo, the Drenckpohl's lived in Pasadena for eight years. Joel was on staff at a church in the area working with high school students, while Kristi was teaching in a local school. During this time Joel received his M.Div from Fuller Theological Seminary. Joel and his family have now lived in San Luis Obispo for five years. They are enjoying this next adventure together as they share their lives with college students, and many others, in the community of San Luis Obispo.

We are excited to have Dominique Floyd stepping into a new role as Front Porch as she returns for her third year on staff at Front Porch. Dom is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She is from Thousand Oaks, California. Throughout her time in college, she participated in different ministry and service roles on APU's campus and at Forest Home Christian Camps for two summers. Her hope is to pursue a Master's Degree in Leadership Studies in order to use her passions of ministry and student development in the future. She is excited for this new role at Front Porch for 2017-2018 in the cherished space that Front Porch provides for sharing life together in community.
Ryan Joslin grew up the eldest of three brothers in Simi Valley California. After high school he then attended College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita before transferring to Cal Poly where he graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology in 2016. Throughout his college career Ryan has worked summers at Hume SD and worked with several youth ministries. In his two years at Cal Poly, Front Porch became his second home. He is beyond excited to return for a second year as an Intern to work with the community that has been his place of belonging during his years at Poly. He hopes to eventually attend grad school in the hopes of pursuing a PhD in Theology. For now he is stoked to make coffee, clean mugs, and talk to the great students of Front Porch
